Penny Withers

Director

Penny joined the company in 2001. Following further studies in languages, she began her career working for P&O Cruises as an Assistant Purser. Her tour of duties included Australia, New Zealand and South America. A number of years spent working as a Tour Guide, primarily in Europe and Scandinavia, proved to be some of the most fulfilling, as it combined her love of travel with her love of people. On joining Heritage Group Travel, an instant connection with the core product led her to undertake a History of Art Degree through the Open University, which she completed in 2012. Penny has been a Director since 2014 and continues to thrive on the dynamics of this inspiring industry.

Jackie Baker

Financial Manager

Jackie has worked at Heritage Group Travel since July 1989. From the initial offices above a tool hire shop, she has experienced every move in the interim years prior to our current premises at Charlotte House, Bath. Jackie has covered a variety of administrative and operational roles, and is recognised as the absolute oracle when it comes to company business, and can usually field the most obscure enquiries. She now takes care of our finances and continues to support the team wherever needed. Jackie lives in Bath with her husband, John, and they can frequently be found foxtrotting, waltzing and lindy-hopping their way round many local ballroom dancing venues.

Lydia Pearse

Senior Product Manager

Lydia joined the team in September 2017. Originally from London, Lydia moved to the West Country to pursue a degree in Italian at the University of Bristol in 2012. She then continued her studies with an MPhil before embarking on a career in tourism. She has a keen interest in the outdoors and enjoys running and hiking in her spare time. With her linguistic background, Lydia is primarily responsible for our Italian portfolio, but her enthusiasm for travelling has enabled her to explore many other Heritage destinations over the years.
